[here is gideon, wandering into the bar. she pauses in the middle of the room - and then wanders to the barstools and flops down, reaching up to run her hand through her hair absently.

when she sees lavi, she just waves a little, sunglasses pushed up on top of her head.]

[Lavi's at the library, but just outside, sitting on the steps. He waves when he sees Gideon, expression curled into the sort of strained smile one gets when a murder happens.]

So, guess there are people here who'd be that stupid, huh?

[the way they talked about it for .5 seconds and now it's TRUE]

[we are starting this scene in media res

gideon pulls a tent flap up, her free hand on her sword (yes, she has a sword, and it's a fucking huge two-handed), and then:]

[he heads straight into planetarium as soon as he spots a familiar flash of red hair, golem tagging along behind him

the door makes enough noise to announce his presence, but he still speaks up --]

[OUR GIDEON!! HOW IS SHE!!]

[me like what if i skipped texting and gideon's already handing some food to Lavi,

he'll accept it, with a faint smile on his face.]

[PUTS THEM ON SUBNUTICA SOMEWHERE, maybe just outside the casino like he's thinking of bad ideas with his bestest pal,

though he turns to Gideon first, looking concerned]

Kon said you lost your muscles.

[she cares about all of these suckers, but lavi being as upset as he was makes something awful and sick settle in her stomach.

it's a little while after the chaos, and she comes to check on him, holding a bottle of water.]

[does lavi still look like he's been shot over a ship railing and left to drown in the sea... yeah, but his expression is thunderous -- and clearly annoyed.

he'll head right over to gideon the moment he sees her,]

Cosmos... I was at the movie theater with him and a couple of others.

[idk what jail looks like but gideon just sits. she just sits and stares at him. her face is bare, there's no face paint.]

[wow i wonder what gideon's doing well whatever she's doing she'll see a red-headed blur part the crowd and nyoom right for her,

[lavi asks, and like someone who's jinxed this moment for them both, the screen flicks on.]
